Motorola Opens Seoul R&D Center to Pursue USN Technologies

Motorola has inaugurated a Things-to-Things Research Center in Yangjae-dong, southern Seoul, marking the commencement of a four-year, US$40-million R&D investment in Korea. Via this center, Motorola is to collaborate with Korea's ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) on developing USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Network) technologies. At the initial phase, a research staff of 20 at this center will start collaborating with local universities on R&D projects.
